Artisan Medallion 200 Series Fine Wood Carriage Doors

The Medallion 200 Series combines innovative design and assembly methods with beautiful hardwoods and elegant detailing. An extensive range of styles and options give the 200 Series design possibilities that are virtually endless. Features include Spanish cedar hardwood overlays with hidden fasteners, true divided lites, and a high-performance insulated core frame. A variety of additional hardwoods, like mahogany, are also available. The 200 Series can be pre-finished with our state-of-the-art staining process that produces a finish quality rivaled only by fine furniture. Both standard and custom sizes are offered.

Standard Features

A. True divided lites feature individual panes of glass separated by window muntins to create the ultimate architectural expression.

B. Integral sah adds to window surround while providing added durability.

C. Douf fir core frame has mortise and tenon joinery, and smooth plywood on both sides, for superior strength.

D. High-performance foam insulation contributes to a total calculated frame R-value of 91.

E. Clear Spanish cedar hardwood tongue and groove panel has a classic look with stunning detail.

F. Bottom rail is designed to shed water away to help preserve wood frame and panel.

G. Frame overlay stiles and rails are coped and mechanically joined together with hidden pocket hole and screw joinery to create tight seams. Fastening to core frame is not done through the front face, which eliminates exterior fastener filler marks.

H. Frame overlay is milled with profiled edges to add rich detailing.

I. Square kerf accentuates the look and style of a swing, trifold or bifold door.

K. Chamfered milling adds a beveled edge along the frame perimeter to create a striking detail.

Special thanks to Gaige beginning with his same-day response when the prior doors initially failed, walking us through the process and bearing with us as we tried figuring out the best color choice for the doors (important since there were three other nearby doors that we weren’t replacing). The initial crew that came out did a great job of getting the doors installed, and communicating with us about various important things – from operations to choosing where to route the new controls. The hiccup with the torn trim surprised everybody, but it was minor and easily fixed on the follow-up visit. This wasn’t a project I wanted to do. (Sorry…replacing garage doors isn’t the most exciting thing for a homeowner!)
