Service Technicians
Installers
Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing the warehouse and office staff of F&L Doors Schuylkill Haven along with making sure all aspects are running smoothly. Work closely with other departments as necessary.
Essential Duties:
- Involved in the hiring/terminating process
- Making sure Inventory is tagged, pulled, and stored properly at all times
- Ensure Office staff is working efficiently by answering phones, staying on top of quotes, and all other office related tasks
- Responsible for making sure office staff provides installers what they need for their daily jobs
- Ensuring that installers know their schedule
- Keeping a positive work environment
- Making sure the customers come first and are always taken care of
- Other duties as assigned
Office/Computer Skills:
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Internet
- PIMS or knowledge of Inventory software
- Office email
Education/Experience:
BA/BS or Associates Degree preferred, HS graduate or equivalent, required | |||
Related experience: (preferably in overhead door industry) | Warehousing experience | Employee Management experience | Inventory Management and Control experience |
Position Details:
- First (daytime) shift hours 7am – 430pm Monday through Friday; some weekends and evenings may apply; may need to come in earlier on occasion
- Must be organized and be able to prioritize and work under minimal supervision
- Must have strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to analyze and propose changes conducive to eliminate or reduce repetitive tasks, streamlining workflow of inner department and flow between departments
Physical Requirements:
- Sit for long periods of time at computer/desk
- Walking, primarily in office / warehouse; occasional walking outside in elements
- Visual acuity for reading, computer workstation
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to operate office equipment
Position Summary: Responsible for managing all aspects of warehousing which includes supervision of WH employees. Manage and maintain inventory goals and order stock materials. Work closely with other departments as necessary.
Essential Duties:
- Manage WH staff
- Develop and maintain written WH procedures and WH area goals, updating as necessary
- Publish and track goals and review daily with employees
- Order stock material (parts, springs, etc.)
- Creates and maintains relationships with vendors/suppliers to negotiate best prices, service, delivery and return of stock materials
- Monitor supply levels to ensure WH has all necessary materials to load and deliver to jobsite on time
- Develop and maintain inventory control measures to reduce excess, make use of scrap and return material from jobsites
- Work closely with maintenance to ensure WH vehicles and equipment are in good working condition
- Receive in all materials that are delivered to F&L Haven
- Coordinate physical inventory
- Assist and load customers needing to pick up materials
- Put parts together as needed
- Check purchase orders
- Help WH employees cut down opener rails as needed per job
- Work closely with other departments and managers as necessary
- Report any equipment abuse or misuse by crew so they can be held accountable
