2284 steel garage doors are unbelievably simple. But we also designed the garage door to be durable, efficient, and quiet for years of uninterrupted use.

CFC-free, polystyrene insulation is secured in place with a urethane adhesive
R-value: 10.29 (R-value testing is in accordance with ASTM C518 standards)
Double-sided steel garage doors are 2” thick with tongue-and-groove design
The garage door hinges are stamped from galvanized steel in a “wide body” pattern for greater stability and longer life
Optional automatic latching lock system opens the garage door easily from inside or outside
This steel garage door offers the Appearance Package upgrade

The initial crew that came out did a great job of getting the doors installed, and communicating with us about various important things – from operations to choosing where to route the new controls. The hiccup with the torn trim surprised everybody, but it was minor and easily fixed on the follow-up visit. This wasn’t a project I wanted to do. (Sorry…replacing garage doors isn’t the most exciting thing for a homeowner!) The old doors had huge gaps running alongside the panels.
